2013 FAMILIES HOLIDAYS

MEDITOUR VILLAGE – SALENTO - PUGLIE

This year, from JUNE 15th to 29th some of our families met in order to share moments of relax and fun.

The Meditour Village, overlooking the wonderful Salento sea, located in the Scialonecchia resort, near Brindisi, welcomed us with warmth.

The days were spent bathing, doing recreational activities and much sport, with talks and merriment, a few epilepsy seizures which the now skilful families were able to manage.

Through Skipe we had the chance to get acquainted with our researcher Professor Zuffardi, who showed us the current research activities in the genetic field and thanks to the “pro-bono” cooperation of doctor Silvia Romano and Giovanna Trafficante of the Ospedale Pediatrico Meyer as well as of the volunteers of the Green Cross of Reggio, we had the opportunity to obtain from the families as many as 20 samples of cutaneous fibroblasts – an essential tool for the ongoing researches – which we delivered to the bio-bank in excellent conditions.
